Teaching

I am a kind and empathetic teacher who is passionate about music education and the invaluable benefits of learning a musical instrument.

I understand that every learner is different and my job as a teacher is to bring out the best in your child/you. I believe music lessons should be a source of enjoyment, and I hope to help foster a lifetime love and appreciation for the piano.

  • The Beginner Pianist

I will work with your child to facilitate holistic lessons to suit how they best learn. Through games, singing and playing we will work on developing good technique, understand rhythm and pulse, the foundations of note reading, developing the inner ear and improvisation.

Piano lessons should be a source of enjoyment so above all, I aim to facilitate fun, challenging and fulfilling piano lessons.

  • The Advanced Pianist

I am passionate about facilitating holistic piano lessons in order to develop a lifetime love of music making.

The versatile pianist can not only perform demanding repertoire with conviction, but they can improvise, collaborate and accompany other musicians.

I have prepared students for examinations from beginner to diploma level. My students have prepared for competitions, recitals, university and conservatoire undergraduate auditions with success.

  • Returning to the Piano

Did you learn the piano as a young child? Perhaps you gave it up after a few years because life became too busy? Now as an adult, you’ve found yourself thinking, ‘if only I kept it up’! It is never too late to return. You will be surprised how quickly things will come back to you. We can go from basics or jump back in where you feel comfortable.
